An Ice-Maker Box does not sound all that common by name, but this is how your refrigerator is supplied with water. The valve on the ice-maker box can go bad over time, and is often forgotten about since it’s hidden behind the fridge: out of sight, out of mind. Every so often, at least once a year, you should pull the refrigerator out to check the connection from the valve to the fridge, as well as turn the valve to make sure it’s still in good working order. If you find that the valve handle does not turn easily or at all, don’t force it because it may snap off and cause a bigger problem. Give us a call, and we can change out just the valve, or the entire box (if needed).
