There are 2 types of recirculating pumps used most commonly in the Valley.
Both of these appliances eliminate the need to run the water for 5-10 minutes in the shower to wait for hot water to arrive. Saving time and money on utilities. Most recirculating pumps will have a timer available, that you can program based on your home and family habits. To install a recirculating pump on your water heater, an outlet will be needed within 6-10 feet of the water heater.
*** If you have a recirculating pump installed in your home, any time the water is shut off to the water heater or the whole home, the recirculating pump needs to be unplugged or shut off so the units motor does not burn out.
